Vichy Normaderm Purifying Cleansing Gel Review

Vichy Normaderm Purifying Cleansing Gel Review

Many of you have been asking me about my current skincare routine. I am doing it soon but before that I thought I would first review all my HG products and then club them for that post.

There was a time when I was that hard working software engineer, struggling to survive in the so called ” IT Boom”. I had to undergo a lot of stress and pressure in various projects and that led to breakouts and acne suddenly. I was horrified as I have always had clear skin till the age of 22. Strange! But yes this face wash came to my rescue. I browsed through the Vichy India website and took the skincare test and this was one of the main products suggested to me. This was the only product that I used that time as I had no time for day cream, night cream, toner etc. But just this worked. Iam so thankful to Vichy India for bringing this product. I have suggested this to ‘n’ number of friends who were battling acne and am glad it worked for them too.

The Normaderm Range of products is meant for acne prone skin. This range has many products. I have already reviewed the day cream here.

It comes in two types of packaging. One is the big pump bottle of 200 ml that costs Rs.990. This is more economical and lasts me 3 months. The tube one of 100ml comes for Rs.440. I keep this for travelling purpose. One tube lasts me 1 and half months.

It has a gel texture and has a lovely fresh fragrance. It leaves the skin squeaky clean and effectively removes makeup as well (I double cleanse to remove makeup from face). It does not dry out the skin at all.

It reduces current breakouts without drying the skin and also prevents the new ones from coming.
It can be used many times in a day as it is very mild and non drying. It contains salicylic acid which helps fight acne.

Many of you have asked me if this, or the TBS Teatree face wash is better. Out of the two, I would anyday choose this one as Teatree maybe drying for some. Read my review on TBS Teatree face wash here.

My Rating: 5/5
Final words: Way to go Vichy
