Hi everyone. Preetha here is to blogging with a revamped look to her lovely blog and a new lovely name as well. So a big hello to all glamorous divas out there. I am also excited to be back and be a part of this interesting blog. Now let’s get back to the review of a very cute and gorgeous e/s palette from Physicians Formula.
Physicians Formula Shimmer strips- Warm nude palette:
Details- Sophisticated and versatile palettes of nine shades are the must-have assortments for the newest neutral looks. Each palette features a custom lace compact that coordinates with each nude look. Unique, angled applicator allows for perfect blending and precise lining.
My take on Physicians Formula Shimmer strips- Warm nude palette:
I was never into nudes whether lip color or eye shadows. I am the type who love to flaunt new lip shades, yes, even in eye makeup. Though I have a lot of mlbb lip colors (that I sometimes use) but getting some decent nude eye shadows is a challenge. So getting a chance to pick something from US, I quickly zeroed on to this pretty warm nude e/s palette from Physicians Formula.
Packaging: Yes, lets start with the adorable and really pretty golden cardboard packaging with black net detailing. Don’t miss out on the cute bow too. The transparent outer cover opens up to reveal well packed 9 eye shadows and a slanted foam tip applicator.
The palette is really compact and cute with lovely looking e/s strips. One drawback of this palette is that the stris are so small that you need to use a smaller e/s brush only to pick a color without mixing it with neighbouring shades. I use my RT shading brush and faces e/s brush with this palette and they oth work very fine.
Shades: The Warm nude e/s palette contains 9 eye eyeshadows ranging from a mix of browns, bronze, golden, pink and champagne colors. The pack instructs that 3 different looks can be created using these 9 e/s-natural, playful and dramatic but its all upto you how well you can play with these pretty warm shades.
The shades are all follows: from right to left
Silver, light pink, light taupe, pretty golden, champagne, medium brown, bronze and 2 warmer deeper shades of brown.
All these shades are metallic and do not contain chunky shimmer. Mix of these warm colors can give you a lovely bronze sunkissed look effortlessly and easily.
Texture & pigmentation: All these e/s are tightly packed so they are a bit hard in texture. You need to sweep a e/s brush with some pressure to get the colors on the brush and then the eyelids. These can be used wet/dry and using a wet brush helps in better pigmentation. The shades are nicely pigmented except the pink and champagne that are a bit lighter. The browns and golden have a good pigmentation and apply and blend really well. Silver and taupe fair well too.
I haven’t noticed much fallout either.
Longevity: The e/s stay put for severa hours on me with little fading. I tested them on bare lids and even used my concealer as a base to pop out the colors and even without a proper primer, I could see the e/s on my eyes after several hours. No creasing at all though they looked a but faded at the end.
- Gorgeous packaging
- A lovely mix of netural shades
- Metallic sans any chunky shimmer
- Comes with a nice foam tip applicator which may work as a liner brush nicely
- Nicely pigmented e/s
- No fll out
- Good staying power
- Can be used wet/dry depending upon how dramatic you want the eye look
- No matte shades
- Not available in India
- Very small strips of e/s which make it difficult to pick 1 shade easily.
Final Word: If you want a gorgeous looking and a travel friendly, compact neutral e/s palette then Physicians formula Warm Eyes shimmer strip palette is really a great choice. I just adore this palette and would love to play more with neutral e/s from now on.
