My take on the Oriflame BB cream:
Oriflame too has launched its BB cream last month. Though the price tag is not appealing for a BB cream still the product fulfils most of its promises claimed by the brand.
Shade: The Medium shade would easily suit fair to medium skin tones gals with yellow undertones. So this shade would look quite natural on most Indian skin tones. I prefer it on a daily basis and has been using it for more than 2 weeks now.
Texture & Coverage: The BB cram has a soft and very smooth texture. It is more of a liquid texture than the other BB creams I’ve tried (comparing it to Maybelline & MUA). Because of its silky texture, it is easy to apply and blend in the cream.
The coverage is good. It does hide the pigmentation, light under eye circles and light acne marks on my face. The finishing is dewy and not matte on my dry skin. Even though I don’t apply anything prior to this on my face, still I get to see sheen on my face even in the cooler weather here. I rather prefer a matte finish so I set the BB cream with my Rimmel compact. Oily skinned people need to set the BB cream with a compact for sure if you desire to keep the BB stay longer and look better.
There is a spf 30 in the BB cream I usually skip my sunscreen. It photographs quite naturally and no white cast is seen.
Staying power: It stays on for around 5 hours on me when set with a compact. Later I do find a need of a light re-application again.
Packaging: The easy squeeze through plastic tube makes dispense of the cream easily. The slight runny texture creates a little mess at the neck of the bottle so clean it up properly every time you use.
- Medium shade would suit most Indian skin tone
- Creamy and soft texture
- Has spf-30
- Decent staying power.
- Provides a good coverage
- One can skip the moisturizer before applying this.
- You can skip your concealer to hide the minor imperfections on a daily basis.
- No break-outs seen after using this.
- Comparatively higher price than other creams in the market.
- Oily skinned beauties especially can’t skip setting the BB cream with a compact or loose powder later.
Final Verdict: Though I like this BB cream a lot on a daily basis still the shiny finish it leaves on my dry skin is one thing I can’t skip noticing. I prefer matte finish products and that too for the approaching summers. Otherwise this is a fantastic product and one can surely grab this on an offer and check it out J.
