My take on the cream blush Boho Chic:
This blush had stayed with me since over a year and it is officially my first cream blush. I bought it during a blog sale as then online shopping through foreign sites was an alien concept for me and moreover there were no Indian cosmetic sites selling NYX products like today.
Shade: NYX describes it correctly as a blue toned light pink. The color is a very light, slightly cool pink with sheen. It’s just slightly shimmery, giving a slight glow that looks lit-from-within. The shimmer is nothing noticeable still you cannot completely call it a matte shade.
Girls with lighter and paler skin tone would definitely love the hue. But I think this shade would look washed off on darker skin tones. On my medium to fair skin tone, it gives a light pink color on the cheeks which can be easily worn just about any time.
Texture: The blush has a light consistency and it almost turns “liquid-y” when I touch it. When applied, it dries to a powder finish and does not feel greasy or sticky. The shade has a slight frosty/shimmery touch that adds more glow to the complexion.
It is quite easy to apply and blend the color with your fingers alone on the cheeks. The shade is pigmented and buildable. I try to build the color in 2 applications which looks nice on me than a 1 time application.
Staying power: The blush lacks some points here as it does not stay on long on my dry skin. It stays for around 3-4 hours on me without a primer underneath. I do feel that staying power can be increased by using a good base/primer underneath.  But due to the quite dewy texture, I can imagine that the color would just slide right off of oily skin types more quickly than it does on me.
Packaging: The packaging is simple and apt as the packing is light and the see-through top cover helps to judge the shade easily.
Pros:

  • Great texture
  • Good pigmentation which is buildable
  • Shade has a bit of shimmer which adds a nice glow on the face.
  • Nice packaging
  • Affordable.
Cons:

  • Staying power is less.
  • The shade won’t suit duskier skin tones well.
  • Oily skinned need to use a nice primer for the blush to stay for a decent amount of time.
Ratings: 3.5/5
Final Verdict: NYX cream blushes are one of the best available at affordable prices. I am definitely picking up 1 more shade from this range and wholly recommend these to others. Just this ‘Boho Chic’ shade is cooler toned so it may wash out duskier skin tones. And being quite dewy in consistency, oily skinned gals need to check it once before buying.
