My views on the Maybelline Cheeky Glow blush:
Here I am with the review of the newly launched Maybelline blush. Maybelline as a brand always comes up with pretty, affordable and quality items for its customers and this blush is no exception.
Shade: ‘Creamy Cinnamon’ though looking more of a bronzer kind of shade in the pan comes of an appealing peachy coral shade when swatched. It is more of a peach color and gives a very natural looking flush of color once applied. The shade would easily be visible and suit fair to medium skin tones well.
It has very fine shimmer that is hardly visible once swiped but yes you can see them in the pan if closely observed. The shade is a very safe color to play with and you can use it as and when you want.
Texture: Soft and smooth. It is decently pigmented which is good as you won’t end up applying a lot in the first application itself. The color applies and blends well. I don’t find the blush flying around as it is creamy in nature and chalky at all.
Longevity: The blush stays on for 5 hours on me with minimal fading (for reference, I have normal to dry skin). I had actually removed it myself every time I wear it using my normal cleanser or makeup remover. So it definitely gives 6 hours longevity in this cooler weather here. On combination to oily skin tone, the staying power may be a bit less.
Packaging: It comes in a round plastic case with a transparent lid that shuts tight enough. At the price, I really find the pack cute. I accidently dropped it too, but there was no harm to the pack whatsoever. But there is no mirror of applicator provided.
Nice anytime wear kind of shade.
Soft and smooth texture
Decently pigmented and can be easily built up
Good 5-6 hours of staying power.
Great for beginners
No applicator or mirror provided
Shade won’t show up well on dusky skin tone.
Final Verdict: I am pretty much impressed by the color and quality of the blush. It is a pretty safe to play with and at this price it can be the best bet for beginners for sure.
