The Dream Range from Maybelline was creating a buzz around the blogosphere so I thought I should definitely give it a try. I got the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation ( Thanks to Sophie’s reccomendation) and to set it, I had to get this powder as well. I have been using it for quite sometime and here my take on it.
An oil-free formula which is jet-milled into ultra-fine particles for an air-soft, ultra-silky texture. The suede-touch puff smoothes onto skin evenly, effortlessly, for the most beautiful matte perfection.
The packaging is very cute and travel friendly. It houses a mirror a sponge at the lower compartment. The sponge is quite small but really soft.
How To Use:
Apply Dream Matte Powder to your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin with the provided puff using gentle downward strokes. Build coverage gradually.
It is available in four shades. The one that I got is Beige Medium 2-2.5. It is a bit light for my MAC NC42 skintone but after blending, it sets well and looks natural. It is quite pigmented but is a sheer powder and would not cover any imperfections. It can be used daily to just give a neat fresh look to the skin on those good skin days. I mainly use it to set my foundation. What really impressed me is the fact that it controls oil in the areas like my nose and sides of the nose. It helps the pores look minimized too. The staying power is not that great when used alone but over the foundation, it stays for 4 hours on my combi/oily skin.
The powder is very finely milled but no fall out. It can be blended easily.
Rating:4/5 ( Wish it was priced lesser as Revlon Touch and Glow costs Rs.400 and gives better coverage and shade selection)
Final Words: Go for it if you have combination-oily skin. It does control oil to a good extent and is easily available.
