Maybelline India’s website says: Stay right on trend from your tips to your toes with new Maybelline Color Show. Our gel based formula with color popping pigments, comes in 40 bold, super stylish shades that look great on nails. So go on, mix, match and make the most of color.
Maybelline has been coming out with great launches (the Color Sensational Matte lipsticks, Cheeky Glow blushes, etc.) one after the other, and their latest offering is the Color Show nail polishes. Today’s review features two very pretty colours from this range.
Price: INR 75.
The packaging of the Color Show nail polishes is attractive – small and cute cylindrical bottle with black caps. They look so good lined up next to each other! I also like that Maybelline has given the polishes interesting names. The shade name is written on top of the cap. The brush is of good quality (I felt it was slightly wider than average) and helped in applying the polish smoothly.
Fiesty Fuschia 213 is a gorgeous bubblegum pink. It is the prettiest bright colour I have seen so far…very young and peppy and fun. It went on non-streaky and semi-opaque in the first coat. The next coat made it fully opaque. This is the kind of bright colour that looks perfect for toenails.
Choco Sin 014 is a dark brown with a touch of burgundy in some lightings. It is a vampy colour but makes hands look very sophisticated. The formula was runnier than that of Fiesty Fuschia. In the first coat it was slightly streaky and somewhat sheer. With two coats it became even and opaque.
Both the shades had a very shiny finish. They last well for four days with just a bit of tip wear (without any top coat). The NOTDs are two coats of each, freshly applied, with no base coat or top coat.
Wide range of colours
Nothing that I could find really! Maybe that you would be tempted to spend too much and get all the colours!
5 on 5.
At the price they come for, the Color Show nail polishes are great quality and a must try. Get a couple of shades of these if you haven’t already!
