What MAC says about the product :

It is a simple black pencil with a cap. You would need to carry a sharpener if you are travelling as it is very creamy and if you tend to put more pressure by mistake, the tip breaks.

It has a very soft and smooth texture, goes really smooth on my waterliner and extremely safe for contact lens wearers and sensitive eyes. I did not experience watery eyes with this on. Even my most expensive Chanel Le Crayon Kohl burnt my eyes but this is really nice.

Smolder is jet black, the blackest of all MAC Kohls. I use it on both waterline and upper lash line. Without a primer, on my oily lids, it stays for around 2-3 hours easily which is not at all bad. However, make sure you do not rub it or even touch as it tends to smudge badly. It is great for smokey eyemakeup. Just apply on both lash lines and smudge with MAC 219 and you are done.

Overall Thoughts:

MAC Smolder Kohl is a great product for smokey eye makeup lovers. It has great color pay off and amazing smooth texture. The best part is, it is safe for sensitive eyes. The staying power is definitely a let down but not a bad product if you are not looking for a long staying kohl.
