MAC Satin Lipstick Captive Review, Swatch, FOTD

Hey Friends,
I have a wonderful lipstick review for you all today. It is MAC Satin Lipstick Captive.

Price: Rs.990 for 3 grams.
Finish: Satin
Shade: On the MAC Website, Captive is described as a pinkish plum lipstick and it is a perfect description I would say. This is definitely the best lipstick for me to wear in this winter.

Packaging: Standard black MAC packaging. Very sturdy and travel friendly.
Texture: Being a satin finish lipstick, it is super-pigmented and has a soft finish as well. After sometime, it   does settle in lines so topping it with a gloss or using a lip balm would help.

This shade would be the perfect pink lipstick for dusky beauties. If you are above NC42 in MAC, do check it out. On very fair skintones, it may be too dark and make them look a bit pale. On me, it is a slightly dark pink lipstick. I like to wear it often especially during the winters. It instantly brightens the face. I wear all my lipsticks to their full intensity but this one can be easily toned down according to our skintone. In the summers, it can be used as a light pink lipstick too.

It feels soft and creamy during application but after sometime, because of the current dry weather, it settles in lines. But the shade itself is so pretty so I do not mind it.

It is very well pigmented and the staying power is very good. It feels light on the lips.
Final Words: Pick it up if you are looking for a nice plum lipstick for this winter

This looks so lovely! No, you always look so lovely and 'nice'!! I think this one worn like a stain might give that effect which I have been noticing in some American TV series which are becoming popular for the hair and makeup and wardrobe.
