So when a lipstick addict books a particular limited edition lipstick at MAC and finds that it’s been given to another lipstick lover, all that she does is fume. At last the poor makeup artist sweetly agrees to give the last piece hidden somewhere in a corner of the store ( or secretly kept for his girlfriend). Finally, mission accomplished as always. Mystical is MINE.
MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection Lipstick Mystical Review
About MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection:
Sirens of the deep inspire an aquascape of shades, as waves of tarnished olive, seafoam and darkened plum surrender to water’s enticing spirit. Sultry eyes take on a subtle radiance, while luminous Extra Dimension Blush washes over cheeks, creating a goddess glow. Under the sea, nails glisten in aquatic chrome and metallic Nail Lacquer, as Lipstick, Lipglass and Lip Pencil dive deep into colour. Limited-edition teal packaging, dramatically accented with sheer water droplets.
MAC describes it as a mid-tone creamy rose. On my pigmented lips, it appears as an everyday rosy pink with a hint of coral. It looks great on all skin tones because of the undertone.
Being cremesheen, you do not get full pigmentation in the first swipe but after 2-3 swipes, it gives full coverage.
The best thing about this collection is the packaging. It comes in a teal colored packaging with cute lil water droplets. Simply beautiful!
It stayed put for 3-4 hours which is actually impressive. The cremesheen finish lipsticks are known for the creamy texture and great staying power. Light stickiness is one thing I hate about it.
Pros of MAC Mystical Lipstick:
1. Awesome packaging
2. Creamy and non drying
3. Pretty everyday shade
4. Great staying power
Cons of MAC Mystical Lipstick:
2. Availability as it is a limited edition shade
It looks a lil light in the below FOTD but more intense in real.
MAC Mystical is one of the best picks from the Alluring Aquatic Collection. The shade is a dupeable one but the packaging definitely tempts one to pick it up for sure.
