MAC Groundwork Paint Pot Review

I am a big fan of neutral eye makeup. Neutral eye shadows are something that can be worn with any outfits on any day. I have a few neutral eyeshadows that have low pigmentation and staying power. Thanks to this beauty, I can still enjoy using them.

About the product:
A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M·A·C shadows and liners.

 Price: Rs.1100 for 5 grams

Packaging: It comes in a cute, tiny, sturdy, glass tub with a screw cap. I use a flat eyeshadow brush to swipe the product from the tub and then apply on the lid. Then I blend with fingers.

Shade: The shade Groundwork is a soft brown with a hint of taupe in it. It works very well on my lids and makes them appear very natural. It evens out any darkness on the lid. On fair skintones, this would be a very beautiful brown cream eyeshadow.

Texture: It has a very soft, silky texture. It is quite thick in the pot but blends beautifully on the lids. It is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. Even if used daily, it would last 2 years.
 Ingredients:

I use it as an eye shadow when am in a hurry and I have no time for eye makeup. I just apply this over the lids, kohl, eye liner, mascara and my eye makeup is done. It is the best base for neutral eye shadows. The true color of the eye shadows come out when used over this paint pot. This definitely enhances the staying power of the eye shadows too. It does not crease on my oily lids. This is a blessing for those with oily lids.

Pros:
1. Cute travel friendly packaging
2. Smooth texture
3. Does not crease
4. Enhances the staying power of low quality eye shadows
5. Can be used as an eyeshadow also
6. Makes a fantastic base for poorly pigmented eye shadows
Cons:
1. Expensive

Rating: 5/5
Final Words: Must-have for neutral eye makeup lovers.
I have created a simple everyday look with this paint pot here. Just to show you how it looks on my lids
