M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 Review, Swatch, FOTD

Have you found your perfect liquid foundation? Well, I am glad to say that I have. I have honestly tried a zillion foundations from various brands. I am a foundation junkie and keep trying out new ones ( that’s why am on a ban now). The first MAC Foundation I owned was the ProlongWear Foundation. It was an amazing stuff and lasts really long. I was happy to have finished more than half a bottle of the prolongwear foundation. After a few months, the texture of the foundation changed and it broke me out badly and I had to give it away for Back To MAC. I got few testers of this Studio Fix Fluid last year and after using them happily, got the full bottle. I have been using it for a year now and finally reviewing it for you all.

About the product:
A modern foundation that combines a natural matte finish and medium, buildable coverage with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 protection. Applies, builds and blends easily and evenly. Comfortable and long-wearing, helps minimize the appearance of pores and imperfections, giving skin a smoother, more flawless look and finish.

Price: Rs.1700 for 30ml.
Packaging: It comes in a cute transparent glass bottle without a pump. The pump is available separately for Rs.500. I highly suggest investing in a pump as it makes life easier. The pump also has a locking mechanism and a tiny cute cap to prevent spillage. I have travelled with the Studio Fix Fluid and did not really find it difficult. However, I use the MAC sampling jars for travel.

Shade: I got the shade NC42 which is a perfect match for me. It has the right yellow tones that I need. MAC has various shades so you can easily get your right match. Make sure to always try and get a sample before buying.

Coverage: It is a full coverage foundation. You do not need a concealer if you have this. It covers all blemishes, under eye circles and pigmentation beautifully without giving a heavy look.
Texture: It is a heavily pigmented liquid but blends very easily. I either use my MAC 187 Stippling brush or my fingers. It works well with any brush or even a sponge.
Finish: It definitely gives a neat matte look to the skin. It makes my face flawless and natural.
Oil Control: It is specifically made for oily skin hence it helps a lot in oil control. It has not broken me out in the last one year and the texture is still the same. It has never oxidized on me though it contains SPF 15.

You can clearly see from the above picture that the foundation makes the skin glow. I am also wearing the foundation in the below picture. It stays for 8 hours on my combination-oily skin. After that, just a light touch up with a compact would do to keep the face fresh again.

Rating: 4.75/5 ( Wish they had included a pump)
Final Words: This is the best foundation that MAC makes and I consider this to be my best makeup purchase in my life. Oily skinned beauties must try it out. Must-have for the summers.
