Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing Foundation Review

By Ritika

Hi girls, Lotus herbals came up with a new Purestay range and this is the make base launched in the line.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: All day wear, non-oily foundation that gives skin the ultimate weightless coverage. This new luminous formula hydrates skin, diminishes appearance of fine lines without clogging pores, delays ageing and offers broad spectrum UV protection SPF 20.
PRICE:Rs.595
PACKAGING:The packaging is simple and far better than the earlier packagingS of Lotus. The pump style nozzle dispenser is convenient but becomes messy after use. Also, this kind of packaging is less hygienic. A cap on the nozzle would have helped.
The metallic pink upper body and transparent lower body  is appealing and looks good. However, sometimes, you really have to pump 4-5 times to dispense the product. The shade name is provided at the bottom of the foundation.

SHADE:The shade that I got is Bright Angel .I seemed very light when i saw it in the packing but when swatched, it was the closest match having pink undertones.
TEXTURE,COVERAGE & STAYING POWER:The texture is really amazing and blends seamlessly into the skin.I really like the matte finish of the foundation and the oil-free formula .It feels very lightweight on skin, actually you don’t feel like you are wearing anything. The best part is the staying power. It stays on and on till the time you remove it and doesn’t oxidise.
I find this to be having light to medium buildable coverage foundation and this is the reason that the lightest shade of the range works well for me. It covers minor imperfections and redness but major acnes, pores and other skin problems need heavier concealing.
The most amazing part is the property of photographing well even though it has light coverage and isn’t a HD foundation.
PROS:
~The foundation blends very well into the skin and doesn’t leave any harsh lines or patches.
~it is matte but doesn’t accentuate dry parts of skin so dry skinned beauties can also give this a try.
~claims to be preservative free.
~excellent staying power.
~it feels very light weight on skin.
~photographs beautifully.
~being a light coverage foundation, it is good for office wear too.
~doesn’t oxidise.
~doesn’t clog pores.
~has SPF 20.
CONS:
~it can deal with minor skin imperfections but major problems need heavy concealing.
~the nozzle is prone to bacteria attack leading to skin problems.
~ Sometimes, the foundation body looks messy as the foundation gathers at the mouth of the nozzle.
RATING:4.5/5
RECOMMENDATION: Definitley,I will recommend this foundation to all.
