L’oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner Review

L’oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner Review

By Priya

Hello Everyone,

I adore felt tip eye liners because they are fairly easy to use form of liquid liners and one such product I swear by is the L’oreal Paris Super Liner Carbon Gloss and never thought anything can be much more easy to use until I tried L’oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner.

Product Description:
A sponge tipped felt pen with deep colour for instant impact. Light up your eyes!
Thanks to its soft and supple sponge tipped pen, Superliner Instant Impact Felt gives a quick, easy and uniform application. Create a line as thick or as delicate as you wish. Hold the eyelid taut with your other hand to facilitate application.
Superliner is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen and thus the colour can be applied with ease and precision as thin fine lines or thick sultry flicks.
Price: Rs. 695

My Views:
L’oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner is a marker/pen for your eyes. The pen style packaging is easy to store & move around with. The black base with golden cap though looks cute but I am a little disappointed with the cap, it closes too tightly and requires extra pressure each time to open it. The pen style design of the liner makes it extremely easy to work with and it is perfect for beginners. The felt tip is extremely smooth and pointed which helps in defining the eyes precisely. For me, it is much easy to use compared to the Carbon Gloss liner as the tip is a bit smaller in this for more controlled handling. And since it is pen style the liquid follows automatically from the base whereas in the Carbon Gloss Liner you need to dip the felt tip in the little bottle to get the product after every few strokes.

The formulation is extremely light and does not give heavy coating look to the eyes. However, the finish is not very impressive if you lust after glossy eyeliners. The Instant Impact Felt Liner gives semi-matte finish and it is not as intense black as the Carbon Gloss. The intensity can be build up if you go over the liner few times. The liner sets & dries on the eyes in no time which is superb. This is liner is not waterproof either and will smudge if it comes in contact with water. If not touched at all, it stays on all day!
One problem I have heard people facing with pen style liners is that they do not last more than few months and turn out to be costly affair. It’s been over a month since I have been using it and does not feel like it will dry up anytime sooner, I am expecting it to last a little longer. It comes with a heavy price tag but it can be overlooked for the quality. Other products that can be tried if price is kind of bumming you out to try the pen style liner are the Colorbar Ultimate Eye Liner & most recently launched Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner.

Pros:
  1. Extremely easy to use pen style design – Perfect not only for beginners but best if you are in hurry & want to try different eyeliner styles.
  2. Light formula works well
  3. Dries within seconds
  4. Gives semi –matte finish
  5. Does not dry out quickly
Cons:
  1. Not intense black color
  2. Not waterproof

Final Verdict:
After using L’oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner, I feel it gets difficult going back to your regular liquid liners. I often reach for this eyeliner when I am in hurry or I need perfect cat eyes. It is easy to use and gives more control & defines the line precisely.
