Description: The next generation lip color that combines the texture & shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain. Delivering a lasting color with a subtle glossy shine.
The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6hr hydration.
Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.
Price: Rs. 499.00 for 6 ml
My take on the new L’Oreal Caresse Lip glosses:
Shades: Juliette is a bright and lovely orange toned red while Bella is more of an easy to wear Mauve pink.
Both these shades are quite contrasting to one another in color, pigmentation and staying power. While Juliette is bold and bright, Bella is a subdued, easy to wear kind of shade.
Juliette is going to suit all skin tones and Bella would compliment fair to medium skin tones very well.
Packaging: The lip glosses come in a beautiful golden case with a color marking near the cap for easy identification. The packaging looks both lovely and classy. Even the doe-shaped foam applicator looks pretty and helps to outline and fill-in the color nicely.
Texture & pigmentation: The lip glosses have light-weight and highly moisturizing texture.
Juliette is quite pigmented and a double swipe is all you need to get a dark color on the lips. If you need to wear it as a stain then apply once and dab the shade lightly with a tissue.
Bella is lighter in pigmentation and I need to apply it 3-4 times for the shade to show up on my lips. On pigmented lips, this shade would hardly impart a color if swiped once or twice.
The shade tends to bleed so be careful while applying at the corners especially Juliette. These fade away evenly and keeps the lips hydrated still these stay put.
Staying power: Being a pigmented color, Juliette stays on for around 6-7 hours on me with a meal in between which is quite impressive. Bella on the other hand, stay put for 3-4 hours and yes, this shade even survives a meal easily. I hardly find a need for a touch-up later.
- Medium to highly pigmented shades
- Light weight
- Great staying power
- Survives a meal to a great extent.
- Flattering for all skin tones
- Classy packaging
- Decently priced
- Shade Juliette tends to bleed.
Final Word: The flattering shades coupled with good pigmentation and staying power definitely makes them a must-try product.
