My take on Loreal Moist Mat ‘Spring Rosete’:
Shade: ‘Spring Rosete’ is a lovely coral pink color. It is not very bright and a sort of deep dusty pink sort of shade whose multiple swipes will suit all skin tones equally well. This color would be a best bet for fair to medium skin tone girls who are looking for an easy to wear sort of shade. This can be your go-to color, just wear it anytime anywhere.
Texture & Pigmentation: The lipstick is creamy and applies easily. It is not creamy enough to break/melt that quickly in hot weather still I fear that the bullet would break if more pressure is applied to it. The finish is matte and the color sits comfortably on the lips without causing any dryness. The color shows no sign of bleeding or feathering that is good. It doesn’t settle in fine lines too.
Pigmentation is medium to buildable. I prefer a deeper color and swipe the bullet 2-3 times to get the good color lay-off.
Staying Power: This color is not that intense and so stays on for 4 hours max. It transfers and so intensity and staying power reduces after meals. The color does leave a pretty stain after 2 hrs/a meal that stays intact for an hour more and doesn’t transfer.
Packaging: The lipstick comes housed in a lovely golden pack with a clear color indicator. Though I have the old packaging, L’Oreal recently has launched the moist mat lipstick in a new Swarovski studded golden pack which looks just so beautiful ;).
- Beautiful unique shade
- Creamy texture
- Good pigmentation
- Decent staying power
- Non drying texture
- Color doesn’t bleed/feather
- Lovely packaging
- The bullet may melt/break in hot weather and if more pressure is applied.
Final Word: If you are looking for a unique shade of pink lipstick that you can wear in college/work and gives you a decent staying power then definitely try ‘Spring Rosete’.
