My take on the L’oreal glam shine lip crayon:
Entering into the race of creating its own lip crayon is L’oreal which has surely come up with a decently priced and nice quality product. The product is available in 4 shades out o which I loved the most pigmented one of the lot which is #909 Pomegranate Punch.
Shade: Pomegranate punch is a watermelon red color. It has a hint of pink there but the red comes out more nicely once applied. In the pack as the crayon, hints of shimmer are clearly visible but on the lips only a nice glossy finish with a nice subtle color is all that can be seen. The shade is the darkest in the lot and would surely suit all skin tones very well.
Texture: The lip crayon serves the purpose of a stain, balm and a gloss in 1 pack. It is nicely pigmented and leaves a good color when swiped 2-3 times. The finish is glossy without any visible shimmers. The crayon is definitely moisturizing but only till the time it is there on my dry lips.
The crayon goes on pretty smoothly and you won’t find a need to use any lip liner. It doesn’t settle in fine lines and fades away evenly. As the brand claims, the balm feels feather light on the lips and is not at all sticky.
Staying power: The color stays on for 4 hours on me with light meals in between. It’s not much transferrable.
Packaging: Just like most of the other lip crayons, The Loreal lip crayon is in the form of a chubby stick with a silver cap on the top. The other rotating end helps to easily twist up and down the product. Overall, the packaging looks sleek and classy.
- Lovely color
- Moisturizing texture
- 4 hours staying power which is good considering it as a lip balm
- Feels utterly light on lips
- Non –sticky in nature.
- Sleek packaging.
- Decently priced compared to its counter parts.
- Serves the purpose of a stain, balm and gloss in 1 product
- I don’t feel the moisturization once the balm fades away from my lips for long.
- Will not totally hide the lip pigmentation, surely not for long.
Final Verdict: Definitely a must try product from the brand. At this less price, you can get the benefits of a nicely tinted balm and a gloss which is great. The color and the moisturization coupled with the nice packaging are added benefits.
