Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Make-up Remover Review

By Christina

I never really thought I would own an eye make-up remover. I used the regular ‘all over the face remover’ for the longest time until I realised that I was scrubbing and tugging at my lashes and not only losing some of them but wrinkling the delicate skin under my eyes. The ‘black’ of the khol never left my eyes and as a result I always sported dark circles under my eyes.
Price:  INR 1,900
Quantity: 125 ml

I tried olive oil and Vaseline but that caused cloudy vision.  A trip to the mall and couple of tries later, I settled for Lancome’s Bi-Facil Eye Make-up Remover.  It is one the best products I ever bought and one that I would encourage everyone to own.

Now the Formula is what you call a ‘BI-PHASE’ formula. A closer look at the product and you see a dark coloured liquid floating over a lighter one.  You can clearly see two layers of liquid, one being oil and the other water. If you are wondering how to get to both then, you have to just shake the bottle and the formula gets activated.  Both oil and water get mixed to give you a fantastic product.  It is the perfect choice for those who wear contact lenses and have sensitive skin.

In order to use it first shake it lightly to activate the dual phase formula and then put a bit on your cotton ball, pads or buds.  Don’t soak it, it’s not rose water! Remember when you wear water-proof make-up, leave the cotton onto your eye area for about 5 seconds and then sweep the makeup off gently.   If it gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Here you can see swatches are waterproof mascara, eyeliner and lipstick.  It is efficient and works beautifully.  The skin around your eyes is very delicate.  The skin of your face is like paper and the skin under your eyes like tissue.  It is best to keep it for the purpose that it is designed and not to waste it for the rest of your face.

In the end make sure you find the apt make-up remover for your eyes.  For those of you with sensitive skin, invest in gentle and ophthalmologically tested removers.  For those of you, who have oily skin, invest in an eye make-up remover that is oil free.  It will keep unwanted breakouts at bay.  Invest in cotton balls, make-up removal pads or specially designed eye make-up removal swabs to optimize cleansing and minimize wrinkles.

  • Suitable for sensitive skin

Rating: 4.5/5
