Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Beauty Fluid Review

Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Beauty Fluid Review

Hey Everyone,

I am back after a short trip to my hometown Chennai. The weather did totally put me off and I ended up falling sick and staying indoors all the time. Mumbai is way better. Phew!

I am back after a long time with a review for you all. It’s about my favorite skin care product from Kama Ayurveda – Kumkumadi Beauty Fluid.

Claims : Prescribed in ayurveda to illuminate complexion and even skin tone. This unique blend of oils and herbs is formulated to help skin look young and healthy. In Ayurveda, rare saffron helps illuminate skin color. Extracts of Indian madder and the Banyan tree help smooth fine lines. Sandalwood, vetiver, and lotus cool and cleanse while helping clear blemishes. Liqorice, an antiseptic, protects against bacterial and fungal infections. It also helps improve skin texture. An essential beauty treatment.
Price: Rs.1295 for 12ml.

I have combination skin that becomes oily in the summers. This fluid works very well on all skin types. I take 3-4 drops and apply all over my face and neck. Then I spray Forrest Essentials Rose Water and spread it again. I apply it every night before going to bed. It is definitely a miraculous product as it had made my skin much better. It does even out the skin, reduces acne scars over a period of time and also keeps the skin soft, supple and youthful.

Packaging: It comes in a tiny glass bottle with a rubber dropper. It resembles the medicine bottles of babies.  I keep the bottle in the box provided.
It is definitely a yucky smelling liquid. But the effect is worth all the smell. It is a yellow colored fluid that is quite sticky but it does not make the skin oily or greasy. It gets absorbed well and the smell fades slowly.

It definitely makes the skin glow naturally. It is made up of natural ingredients and hence no harm even on sensitive skin. It has never broken me out either. If you have problematic skin like a lot of scars, pigmentation and dullness, I highly recommend this fluid. I have open pores on the sides on the nose so I do not apply too much of this oil on that area as it tends to clog the pores so please be careful about the areas where you apply it. If you have dry skin, you would need more fluid so one bottle would last you hardly 1- 1 and a half months. I can see myself finishing the bottle in 2 months time so it is definitely an expensive product. I am happy with the results and am more into natural beauty products these days.

Rating: 5/5
Final Words: Pick it up if you love Ayurvedic products to improve your complexion. If you have no skin issues, I don’t see any reason for buying this.

    Hi Preetha.
Loved your review about kumkumadi as every word is totally true !!!
Infact, while I am writing this comment, I have it on my face, doing its job.
I was lucky to have picked it up quite randomly during a holiday trip in the Himalayas. I had picked it off the shelf, without having any prior knowledge of it, just because when i was little, I used to watch an ad on tv singing ‘kumkumadi tailam’ etc. Though it was a purchase made purely to titillate the child in me, it has ACTUALLY made me able to walk out of the house without a layer of foundation on. Love the product.
