I love to pamper my hair with natural products, its my way of making up for damages my hair had to go through with chemical processes. Kama Ayurveda’s Bringadi Hair Oil was my obvious choice as it claims to repair almost all problems my hair is currently going through – dandruff, dullness, hairfall, fine hair. Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Oil comes in a simple transparent plastic bottle packaging which is wide mouthed with screw cap & an additional stopper inside. For me, it is pain to remove the additional stopper everytime i use it. The oil is prone to spilling; hence the stopper cannot be removed permanently. I wish they had some nozzle or hole for easy access. I have seen some reviews in which there was a small nozzle opening too but I have no idea if Kama has changed the packaging or it is just the problem with the bottle I got.
The Bringadi Oil is a brown colored product and it has a divine herbal fragrance. The fragrance is definitely divine for me but it might not be liked by all. It is not typical oil smell but different. Nevertheless, the fragrance subsides in about 15-20 minutes of application so should not be problem. The oil is a very light in texture and it is non-sticky & non-greasy. It spreads easily on the scalp and a little quantity is sufficient for single use. Kama suggests using this oil half an hour before the wash but I prefer keeping in overnight. A 100ml bottle will easily last for a month if used thrice a week.
About the results, the oil definitely conditions the hair & gives it lustrous shine and definitely conditioner can be completely avoided when you apply this oil. It gives soothing & calming effect on scalp when massaged well and works well on dandruff issue. It repairs & heals the scalp if you have severe damage from dandruff and with regular usage it avoids re-occuring of dandruff too. But if you stop using the oil altogether, dandruff will re-occur. In terms of hair fall, I haven’t seen any major difference yet as it has been only a month since I am using. I believe and suggest, patience is the key when you are using an all natural product on hair. So, I am still hopeful that using it for atleast 4-5 months I should see some progress in hair fall area.
