Forest Essentials Sweet Narangi Lip Balm Review

I am a big fan of Forest Essentials products, thanks to their stores just close by my place and also to a dear friend who tempts me with their stuff every now and then. I have officially fallen for this brand and would love to try every product slowly.

I have pigmented lips which is a big pain. The SA at Forest Essentials adviced this lip balm as it contains citrus extracts and it lightens the darkness on  the lips. So did it really work? Let’s see..

The packaging is definitely rich and classy. I have never seen a lip balm in such a cute golden case with a mirror. Looks like a jewellery box/kumkum jar, doesn’t it?
Price: Rs.495 for 5 grams. Ahem..

The lip balm tastes and smells very orangey. I end up licking it every now and then and hence the jar is almost over within 1 month. I apply twice daily. My Kiehls lip balm is sitting idle in the drawer since the day, this one came home.

The texture of the lip balm is just perfect. It is neither very buttery nor glossy. It spreads easily and sets well too. My lips remain nourished and moisturized. It does definitely make the lips look healthier and soft. At first, I did not believe that it would help in lip pigmentation but after few days, I found that the outer dark lip line has lightened a bit. I would not say that it has helped a lot or there is a drastic change but it is much better than before. With regular use, I guess, the result would be better. That would mean that I will have to invest Rs.500 almost every month for my lips. But that’s way better than paying money to the skin clinics.

Rating: 4.75/5
Final Words: The Sweet Narangi Lip Balm is a luxurious product, that provides intense moisturization to your dry lips. It definitely cures any lip dryness, chapped lips, peeling etc. Do not expect it to do magic for lip darkness. It takes some time but shows some results. I guess even orange or lime juice does lighten the lips to a certain extent but who has the time for all that these days? This lip balm comes handy for all the lazy bones like me. I am totally satisfied with my purchase and definitely trying another variant soon.
