Faces Canada Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder is an innovative non-comedogenic formulation which offers protection from harmful UV radiation and imparts a silky, irresistible touch to facial skin. It does not clog pores and is hypoallergenic. It comes with a unique, spill-proof, easy-to-use applicator. Suitable for light to medium coverage on all skin types.
Price: Rs. 699 for 7grams
Packaging: I have never tried the Faces Canada compacts and foundations, I own just a cc cream from them so I was really excited to try this product. The mineral formula of the product did impress me and I was sold at that moment. The packaging of the product is definitely very unique and attractive. But, the packaging is not very travel-friendly as it does require a lot of space as compared to your normal round or square shaped compact powders. The packaging is not very heavy or bulky, but it is little difficult for carrying while travelling.
The cap of the container is silver coloured, it has a unique shape which makes it convenient to hold and easily twist to open it. The cap is attached with a soft sponge applicator. The container holds the loose powder and comes with a separator which looks like a sifter. You would have to gently shake the container to release some product from the bottom. Then, dip your sponge applicator to take out the product for application.
Shade: I picked up the shade sand beige which is slightly light for my Mac nc 43 skin. But, the powder spreads smoothly without giving a cakey finish which makes it look natural against my skin tone. The shade selection is definitely limited and it would be difficult to choose a good match if you have deeper skin complexions.
Formula: The loose powder is mineral based which will suit normal to oily skin really well as it adheres to the natural oil of the skin. Mineral based products might not suit some people, but it does depend on the ingredients used in the formulation. The product claims to provide UV radiation and impart a silky feel to the facial skin. However, the SPF content is not mentioned which makes it difficult to judge the level of protection. The texture of the loose powder is finely milled and soft without any chalky feeling. It does provide a soft silky finish. The formula provides light to medium coverage. It sets my concealer and foundation really well without giving a cakey-feel.
