My Take on the Faces Go chic Lip glosses:
Faces Go chic range is meant to be affordable and provides great value for money. The Go chic range is nothing new by the brand but recently new shades have been introduced in the lipsticks and lip gloss category. Two of these new colors are here for review today.
Shades: ‘Coral Crush’ is more of an orange than a true coral shade. The hint is pink is missing and it comes out as an orange color on the lips. The shade has golden shimmers which are mildly visible in bright light.
‘Summer Lovin’ is a light mauve pink shade with silver shimmers. In this shade too the mauve is more highlighted. The shimmers are easily visible as the shade is light.
Out of both, Coral Crush is a shade that would more easily suit most skin tones. Summer lovin’ can suit the fair to medium skin tones very well.
Texture & pigmentation: Both the shades have light to medium pigmentation and one need to apply them twice at least to make the color visible. The shimmers are not at all gritty and they add extreme shine to the color. The lip gloss is light weight and non-sticky in texture. The color fades away evenly without leaving any shimmers behind. I find it mildly moisturizing.
Staying power: Both are colors stay on for 2 hours. A touch-up is required after a meal for sure.
Packaging: The product comes in a transparent packaging with a foam tip applicator that does the job well. The package is simple and easy to locate.
Great color options
Easy on pocket.
Light weight and non sticky in texture.
Non gritty shimmers add a good sheen to the colors.
Decent staying power.
I have seen them only at stores as of now. New shades are not available online.
Not very moisturizing so you can’t skip a lip balm.
Pigmentation could have been better.
Ratings: 4.2/5 for both.
Final Verdict: A good option for those who want a variety of shades without spending too much. At the price you pay, these fair quite well. So these glosses are definitely recommended.
