Faces Canada CC Cream Review
I have been loving bb creams a lot for its light-weight feel on the skin. Today, I have the newly launched Faces Canada CC cream for review.
Product Description: Faces CC Cream brings multiple benefits to give you flawless looking skin in a single step. It primes, perfects and protects to make you look stunning all day.
Price and Quantity: Rs. 399 for 35 ml
Packaging: The Faces Canada CC Cream retails in a black carton box which has all the product details printed on it. The cc cream is packed inside in a sleek tube which is again black in color. The tube comes with a screw open cap. There is fine flat opening on the tube which dispenses product easily for application. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
Shade: The cc cream comes in 2 shades- Natural and Sand. Both the shades have strong yellow undertones which make it more ideal to suit medium to dusky skin tones. I bought the shade sand which goes well on my Mac nc 43.5 skin tone. The other shade natural is also very close to sand so I really don’t think these shades would suit someone with fair skin tone.
Formula: The cc cream has a nice creamy texture which reminds me of tinted moisturizer. It glides smoothly on the skin and blends effortlessly. The formula is neither very dewy nor matte, it does have a light satin finish which leaves skin with a soft healthy glow. The formula is not fragrance-free but very mildly scented and even that fades away quickly after application.
Coverage: The brand claims to cover blemishes and correct the tone, but it is not true. The formula provides only sheer to light coverage. So, if you are looking out for some coverage to even out your light blemishes, marks or spots then this product will be disappointing. It provides light coverage like a tinted moisturizer, which can work well for daily usage. Even after layering the product, the coverage stays sheer so one cannot conceal any skin imperfections with this product alone.
Staying power: It stays fresh for good 4 to 5 hours on my combination skin. As it provides a soft sheen to the skin, it does make my t zone shiny after an hour of application. So, I do recommend mattifying the product with a compact powder on top for combination to oily skin types.
Pros of Faces Canada CC Cream:
- SPF 20
- No white cast
- Travel friendly packaging
- Natural and light dewy finish
- Mild fragrance
- Cruelty free
- Easily blends into the skin
- Light-weight on skin
- Decent staying power
Cons of Faces Canada CC Cream:
- Sheer coverage
- Will not conceal deep blemishes/marks
- Shade selection could have been better
- It contains alcohol, silicones and salicylic acid which might irritate sensitive skin.
Final words: The Faces Canada CC cream provides a sheer coverage with a healthy dewy finish. The formula feels very comfortable on the skin and also easily blends in with fingers. It will work decently for people who are going to college or work or anyone who likes a light veil of coverage on the skin.
