e.l.f Mineral Eyeshadow Primer Review

e.l.f Mineral Eyeshadow Primer Review

Guest Post By Nivanya

Hey!

After many months as a silent reader of IBJ, I have finally decided to begin contributing articles. I am so glad to be writing for this incredibly beautiful and informative blog. Anyway, eye makeup is one of the most mesmerising aspects of makeup. It has the ability to spotlight your eyes and make them look absolutely stunning. But if one suffers from oily lids, get ready for a barrage of creasing and dull eye makeup that blends into a monotone.

The best way to work around the above problems is to use an eyelid primer that intensifies eye makeup and makes it last through the day. The product I am now going to review is my first eye primer, read on to find out how it fared.

Packaging

It comes in a thin tube with a doe foot applicator. The applicator helps in dabbing the product on your eyelids, after which you need to blend it in with your fingers. You need just a pin head sized amount for both eyelids.

My take on the product

The first time I used this product I used too much and it took quite a while to dry. Once it dried it worked brilliantly but still, the long drying time irritated me. The next time, I just dabbed the doe foot applicator once on either eyelid, blended it in and applied my eye makeup. Bam! It lasted for more than 8 hours with a very slight fading on the outer corners of the eye. Not only that, it also improved the intensity of my eye makeup making it look more vibrant.

Thanks to its inexpensiveness and ease of application it has become a staple in my daily makeup routine. My eyeliner stays all day and so does anything I put on my lower lash line. It prevents the creasing of eyeshadows even on my oily eyelids.

It is a part of the Mineral range of e.l.f. cosmetics, which means that its completely organic and not harmful for the skin; an added plus despite it’s incredibly low price point.

Beauty bloggers across the world have compared this to the Urban Decay Primer potion. I have no way of comparing the two seeing as I haven’t used UDPP but I can say that this is now my HG Eye Primer. It deals with all my problems and is affordable to boot!
