Price: Rs 250
Packaging: The Colorbar brushes come in a plastic pouch packaging, I don’t have the outer packaging of blending brush with me as I have been using this brush for some time now. The blending brush comes with a white handle and a black ferrule which tightly holds the bristles. The brush has orangey yellow synthetic bristles. The bristles are fluffy and decently soft which doesn’t feel scratchy on the eye lids unlike the regular affordable brushes. The shape of the bristles has a round edge almost like an almond shape.
Application: The blending brush is in a medium length size which makes it easy to hold. The brush appears flat but has fluffy bristles to help in blending of the eyeshadows. The size of the brush bristles is slightly bigger than the regular blending brushes, so you would have to carefully use it to blend the eyeshadows otherwise the product might easily go outside your eyelids or cover them fully. But, the added benefit of the size is that it helps in quick blending of the eyeshadows. It blends out harsh edges easily and also helps in applying a light wash of eyeshadow over the eyelids. Apart from working with eyeshadows, I also found this brush blending my under eye concealer really well. It works well for setting loose powder on the eye area, so for me it works in multiple ways.
The bristles are synthetic and dry quickly after washing, it usually dries of within 1 and half to two hours. I have been using this blending brush for everyday makeup and have washed it so many times. I noticed only the lettering of the brand name fading after a few uses, but the brush did not lose shape, nor did I find any problems of color bleeding or shedding of bristles. The brush bristles didn’t turn rough or scratchy even after several washes.
Pros of the Colorbar Emphaseyes Blending Brush:
- Works in multiple ways
- Blends the harsh edges of the eyeshadows really well
- Has soft bristles
- Does not shed
Cons of the Colorbar Emphaseyes Blending Brush:
- The brush head size is slightly bigger than the regular blending brushes.
- The brand name printed on the brush fades away after a few uses.
Final words: The Colorbar Emphaseyes Eye Blending brush is a good quality brush which is soft and does not shed. It works well for blending of the eyeshadows. If you are looking for a good quality brush with a budget friendly tag then this brush will work fairly well for you!
