Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette Review,Swatches

What the brand claims:

Our Original 88 Piece Palette contains 88 different highly pigmented shadows. These shadows can be applied with ease using the dual end foam applicators included or multiple eye shadow brushes depending on the look you wish to achieve. The shadows are pressed powder, but can be applied wet for a deeper, longer lasting effect. The palette contains mainly matte shadows however; some do have a satiny finish. Each dime-sized pot contains plenty of powder for multiple uses. The matte black case contains the Coastal Scents logo as well as the name of the palette and is ideal for travel

Packaging:

It comes neatly packed in a sturdy black matte case. Quite travel friendly. It is provided with a mirror and two applicators. The palette cannot be kept open unless you hold it with one hand as the screws on the sides are loose.

Pros:

1.88 colours in one place
2.Some decently pigmented shades
3.Smooth texture
4.Affordable
5.Decent staying power

Cons:

1.Available only through Coastal Scents website
2.Some shades are powdery and chalky
3.Too small to even dip my brush in it.

Here are all the 88 colours for you..

This is an affordable option for someone who is a beginner in eyemakeup and would love to try/learn looks with different looks. However, I feel that some shades that I loved like a bright blue was quite chalky and faded away soon.

Blues,greens,pastels…

Browns,pinks and purples..

Some swatches:

I did not find any shade to be very well pigmented but for the price, this is a good buy. The shades would come out better with a primer. The staying power is decent but not very impressive. Each shade is so tiny and you need to put ur brush again and again to pick up the right amount of product you that you want.

My Rating:3.5/5

Final words:Best bet for beginners. But if you are someone who expects pigmentation and staying power like Inglot eyeshadows, then this would be a disappointment.
