My Take on the TBS Rainforest coconut hair oil:

Oiling your hair once a week before a hair-wash has become a ritual for me and most of us. Oiling helps to provide the needed moisturization our hair and scalp needs. A good hair oil helps not only to hydrate the hair but also provides benefits of hair strengthening, reducing hair fall, to do away with dandruff, managing frizz and other small issues faced by our loved hair  day to day. In a need of a good hair oil always makes me keep trying possible nice variants available and TBS coconut oil is one such purchase.

TBS coconut hair oil is colorless oil with mild coconut-y fragrance. The fragrance is quite light and soothing.

TBS Rainforest coconut hair oil is slightly thicker in texture than other oils I have used. It is not very runny and easily stays on the hand when removed from the bottle and when massaged in the hands before applying.

Thicker doesn’t mean it’s sticky. The oil remains completely light weight in the hair. Even if excess is applied (my mom did that 2-3 times :P), the hair remains completely free of stickiness. You can easily move your hands within your hair after applying this hair oil and hardly any oil sticks to your fingers. No oily patches can be seen on the pillow/bed-sheets and your clothes.

The oil gets massaged into your hair instantly. You can easily go overboard while applying it but not to worry about stickiness. Once applied the dry hair feels hydrated, tamed and combs easily. Definitely the hair breakage while combing reduces and they become quite manageable.

This oil strengthens the brittle hair as I have seen it working on my dry and brittle hair. It also helps to keep dandruff at bay. No, it doesn’t resolve the dandruff issue but doesn’t let it aggravate. This along with my TBS ginger shampoo helps me to fight against the stubborn dandruff issue.

I use it religiously before every wash, though I should use it more often but I am not someone who goes out with oily hair :P. But I am very satisfied with the results I get after using this oil. My dry hair seems to drink up this oil and still remains light weight, frizz free and totally manageable. I have kept this oil for a full week too in my hair without a wash but never had I had any uncomfortable feeling with it on.

It is advised to warm up the hair before application too if you want some more specific benefits from it. But I keep it overnight before a head-wash the next day. It gets washed off quite easily using nay normal hair cleanser. No need to apply shampoo twice to rinse the oil off completely. I generally skip a conditioner too still my hair behaves nicely.
